My deepest, sincerest apologies for my lack of updates over the last month (I can't believe it has been that long!). Things at Brenna Maureen Photography came to a temporary halt when I lost my father on the 10th. As you might expect, it has been hard to find a routine since. It is the loss of my dad that gave me the idea for today's blog.
Aside from a few pictures of my husband and I, this is my favorite photo from my wedding. Thanks to Pati Smith Photography I have this beautiful memory of my dad and I one of the most important days of my life.
For me, these images will forever be important. I found comfort in them when my dad was first diagnosed with cancer, and I continued to look back on them as he bravely fought. Now, they preserve his memory for me in a way that brings my soul a little bit of peace.
If you've been on the fence about how to rank photography on your wedding day, I hope this gives you a new perspective on its importance. Your wedding photos should capture the magic of your special day in a way that preserves all of the joy for years to come.
My challenge to you today is to take a moment and think about how you want to feel when you look back at your photos from your wedding five years later. Then 10. Then 25. If you want something like what I've described, then reach out. I would be thrilled to sit down and talk to you about your wedding memories in the making.
